Californian house

This house is our first cocoon; we have imagined and conceived it over several years, and we are committed to every year undertaking new projects to beautify it and make it as cozy and family-friendly as possible. It is a house built in 2023 in the Californian style with Balinese influences. Light wood is the main material of this house; it is this touch that we like to add a little bit everywhere, precisely to bring warmth. Beyond the wood, we have added pretty warm colors, such as pink, camel and mustard yellow. Small wooden letters are placed all around because, as part of my profession, I am a big fan of beautiful typography, letters that tell a story, a life, memories. We also have some travel memories and weekends in European capitals, discreet, but present. I have also done a lot of DIY in this house, especially the frames that are present and some decorative elements. We place a lot of value on raw materials, on thrifted objects, on everything that can tell a life and give life while staying organized. We did most of the finishing work ourselves, so not everything is perfect, but again, we have a story to tell. We are travelers and lovers of the surf vibe; my partner was a lifeguard at sea a few years ago, and our biggest dream is to live by the sea. We therefore bring into this house our little piece of ocean as best as we can.
