Stone manor house in Provence - private park with pool and tennis
Nestled between the Luberon mountains and the Durance valley, Le Domaine sits at the heart of a private 5-hectare park consisting of lavender, vines, olive trees and a wild wood. This stone manor house embodies authentic Provence: vaulted ceilings, noble materials, contemporary artworks and unobstructed views over the countryside. Designed to gather family or friends, it offers five suites with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living areas and numerous relaxation spaces, indoors and outdoors.
🍽️ Bathed in light, the contemporary and warm kitchen is the true heart of the house where white vaulted ceilings, light oak flooring and bespoke furniture blending wood and metal converse. Fully equipped, with a central island, generous workspace and refined tableware, it will appeal to a private chef as well as to a gourmet family. The large solid wood dining table welcomes breakfasts facing the garden as well as long dinners, in a convivial atmosphere where one shares both a bottle from the estate and a gastronomic meal.
🛋️ Under the immaculate vaults, the main living room embodies the Bastide’s soul: warm, refined and full of character. Around the monumental fireplace, the terracotta curved sofa, boucle wool seating and wooden coffee tables form a cocooning nook ideal for winding down at the end of the day. The arrangement of the logs, the grand 19th-century horse statue and the signed artworks add a unique touch, between a collector’s home and a Provençal retreat. The TV lounge extends this space with a large custom-made library linking the relaxation areas. Flat screen, art objects and carefully selected books stage the perfect setting for a movie night, a friends’ aperitif or simply browsing a book.
Between the kitchen and the vast living room, an intimate dining room welcomes moments of sharing around the table, in a soft and convivial atmosphere.
🎱 Flooded with light thanks to the large bay window opening onto the gardens, this room invites conviviality and sharing. The fireplace, porcelain pendant lights and club chairs wrap you in a soft and elegant atmosphere, ideal for ending the evening by playing billiards with a view of Sainte-Victoire.
🛏️ The house has five suites with en-suite bathrooms and toilets, designed as true cocoons of comfort. Each bedroom has its own personality, while sharing the same thread: soft tones, high-end bed linen, natural materials and careful lighting. You will have a choice of viewpoints; one of the suites comprises a sublime terrace offering an unobstructed view of the Luberon, the others overlook the vineyards and the park. The bathrooms, clad in stone, marble and wood, offer Italian showers, elegant sinks and generous storage. Everywhere you find this discreet Provençal luxury: a lot of space, light, beautiful materials, but never ostentation.
🏊🏻♀️ Around the bastide, Provence arrives with elegance. The courtyard, animated by a fountain, leads to a beautiful pool surrounded by lawn and stone terraces, with a view of the vineyards and distant hills. There you alternate swimming laps, naps on sun loungers and aperitifs facing the sunset.
Several outdoor spaces rhythm the day: a pebble terrace for breakfast, a shaded terrace under centennial trees for lunch, a lounge corner by the pool for summer evenings. The landscaped park, punctuated by beds, lavender, olive trees and paths, invites strolling, quiet reading or simply admiring the landscape.
🎾 🎯 Ideal for a morning or late afternoon game, a private tennis court awaits the most athletic at the north of the Bastide. A pétanque court lets you extend afternoons with family or friends around a convivial game, a glass of Luberon rosé in hand. A fitness room accessible a few minutes away completes the offer for those who wish to keep their workout routine during the stay.
🖼️ Each space of the house is enhanced by a selection of contemporary artworks: paintings, sculptures, unique pieces, dialogue with the architecture and the landscape. Among the artists featured are Antonio Seguí, Philippe Pasqua, Robert Combas, Alain Jacquet, Paul Irike and Izirdi’s creations, which pay homage to Provence. The whole gives La Grande Bastide a distinctive atmosphere, halfway between a family home and a discreet gallery.
