Court of Honour
The historic heart of Espace Hamelin is the townhouse of the Count of Montebello, who lived there in the 19th century.
This building is the work of Charles-Louis Boileau, architect of Le Bon Marché, with its neo-Renaissance façades on the courtyard of honour and its garden populated by Indian ducks and pheasants.
To this remarkable building, which at the time was located at 11 Hamelin Street, were added buildings 15 and then 17 of the same street. The main entrance is now located at 17 Rue de l’Amiral Hamelin.
Bought from Princess de Cystria by the Syndicat Général de la Construction Électrique, it houses its offices there since 1939.
Today these buildings remain a collective living space for the professional unions of the electrical, electronic and communications industries, some of whose spaces are dedicated to hosting events that can be privatized by and for all.
Blending history and modernity, our spaces reflect this double identity.
