The historic heart of the Espace Hamelin is the townhouse of the Count of Montebello who lived there in the 19th century.
This building is the work of Charles-Louis Boileau, architect of Le Bon Marché, with its neo-Renaissance façades on the courtyard of honor and its garden populated by Indian ducks and pheasants.
To this remarkable building, which at the time was located at 11 Hamelin Street, buildings 15 and then 17 of the same street were grafted onto it. The main entrance is today located at 17 Rue de l’Amiral Hamelin.
Bought from Princess de Cystria by the General Syndicate of Electrical Construction, which installed its offices there in 1939.
Today these buildings remain a collective living space for the professional unions of the electrical, electronic and communications industries, of which part of the spaces are dedicated to hosting privatizable events by and for all.
Mixing history and modernity, our spaces reflect this dual identity.
